Michael D. Posted June 17, 2009 Report Share Posted June 17, 2009 We had a client issue a run-away process on the Atlantis server that very quickly froze up the server. Our internal notification system did alert us nearly immediately however the server was almost completely frozen within approximately 30 seconds. We attempted to get into the server as quickly as possible to stop the process however by the time we were able to log in we ended up having to force a reboot. The server was locked up to the point of us having to force a power cycle to reboot. Upon rebooting we ran a quick file system check to make sure that nothing had been damaged and we verified the raid array to insure that there were no data issues. All tests passed successfully and all services are back online. We do apologize for the inconvenience and we are investigating the account responsible for the freeze and will take the appropriate actions. Thank you!
