In Topic: Slow Pings any reason why?

Thank you for the detailed description and option to shift to gemini. From my end the average ping on fresco comes to around 360-450ms while that on gemini comes to between 350-420. So I dont see much of a difference from my end. But most of my clients / users accessing the site are from US so if I see the pingdom pings there is a drastic difference. I think I will wait and watch before taking a call.

Just so that all know... if you see @pingdom status - its down as well for the last couple of hours... a web monitoring site down!

hence, you can show your clients that even "bigger" sites can go down.

Congratulations for all the hard work you do is not enough for me, I think you do have a responsibility to put more effort into a back up plan to keep everyone's accounts up and running. You may say that yes u're not responsible for DDos attacks, but others I'm sure have lost clients due to something not their fault as well.

Ok, well nobody is forcing you to stay - if you wish to leave, by all means do what you feel is best.

Hi Mike, I believe thats not what techshots meant from what I understand. If you read carefully, its simply mentioned that some resellers may have lost clients due to the downtime. He did not mean to say he is leaving MDD.

We all undertand MDD has done an outstanding job over the past 24 hours and that really separates MDD from other web hosting companies. Keep up the good work :)

As always amazing support. In my distant memory, I can hardly think of any other company providing such "bullet-proof" support.

Glad to see all sites up and running as they were before the problem

Take some rest.

A file system check is indeed required, it could be as quick as 30 minutes or as slow as 6 hours. I wish I could give a more accurate ETA but there is simply no way to do that.

Nobody is specifically responsible for a file system corruption.

Thanks for the update. Hope this is sorted out at the earliest.
