Michael D. Posted July 3, 2013 Report Share Posted July 3, 2013 We will be rebooting a vast majority of our servers tonight to close a recently discovered security hole in the operating system. Understand that the security hole is in the operating system itself and is not something we could have prevented/avoided or repaired on our own. We will be rebooting all affected servers into a new version of the Operating System that has been patched against this security issue. We will post here as we are rebooting each server. We expect each server to reboot in under 5 minutes and to be back actively serving requests normally within 10 to 15 minutes. In the event that we run into any unplanned/unforeseen issues we will post the details here as well. The reboots are currently scheduled to occur between 12 AM ET and 4 AM ET. We apologize for any inconvenience these reboots may cause you, however, we must perform them to keep the servers, your accounts, and our network secure.
