Dehenderson
I'd greatly appreciate feedback about BoomerCafé.com. Even though we've had the site online 13 years, we need to figure how to attract more visitors, capture emails and make a few dollars. Any and all ideas are welcome! Scott
I don't have too much experience running and building communities themselves, but I can tell you that having email marketing for newsletters can be helpful for sites and business of all sizes. MailChimp.com is a great place to start. The service is solid and the price is right (Free for lists under a few thousand subscribers and less than several thousand total emails sent. I forget the exact numbers off hand. The pricing isn't bad after that either). Twitter and FaceBook are also probably good places to have a presence if you haven't already setup somethere there to go with the site. Dehenderson
Thanks very much, Scott. We are also finding that Pinterest really attracts visitors but only to imaginative photos.
Arpeggio
You could do product reviews? In this day and age the idea of impartial honest online reviews is becoming hazy with the activities of the likes of Belkin, J.R Ellory, John Locke, TripAdvisor and Yelp etc. A survey of what kind of products your audience might want reviewed might be good so you know what gets the most interest, then in time become a good resource for this.
