I think this answers my question too. I have a site that sells music tutorial books and PDF eBooks with downloadable audio tracks, the audio is on a seperate domain only visible inside a purchased copy.

At the moment it's an add-on domain on the same account, but as the "surge" (kind of) of book sales at the moment will most likely be christmas presents, then there may be a lot of traffic at the same time for the audio download site on the 25th December. If I need to I could hire another shared basic account for the download site because that way both could take the brunt of more traffic at the same time?

You can definiately sign up for a second account and relocate the audio to there. Unfortunately, it gets more complicated if you are doing anything more than redirecting the current requests to the new account (or moving the entire domain to the new account). You may wish to consult with a developer about exactly how you would want it to work and if they can make that happen.

Yes, I'd just be moving www."mydownloadsite".com to another basic shared account, so that it and www."siteaboutmybooks".com would each be on seperate accounts. I think that comes under what you mean by things which are no more complicated than.
