Scott
Unfortunately the internet is a very hostile place and DDoS Attacks [Wikipedia] are becoming more and more common. In over 5 years in business we've never been the direct target of an attack but it seems today that has changed. At 12:12 PM Eastern Standard Time MDDHosting.com came under attack. The attack is large enough that it affected connectivity for the entire facility and it did take us a few minutes to identify the target and null-route the IP due to the size of the attack. During the initial few minutes connectivity for all sites would have been spotty, however, at this point all customer sites should be online and operating 100% normally. We have taken some steps to keep MDDHosting.com online, however, these steps required an IP change in our DNS so it may be some time before you're able to load MDDHosting.com directly. In the meantime you are welcome to email us directly at support@mddhosting.com if you have issues and we will still be able to assist you. Hopefully this attack will subside shortly, however, we obviously have no ETA as to when an attacker will choose to discontinue their attack on our domain. In the event that you are unable to reach MDDHosting.com and you do not receive a quick response from support@mddhosting.com do please use Twitter to get in contact with us. Our twitter stream during this outage will contain updates as they happen and can be seen at http://twitter.com/mddhosting. No account is required to view our stream and updates. We will also be posting updates and monitoring our FaceBook page which you can find at http://www.facebook.com/mddhosting. Feel free to get in touch should you have any questions at all.
