Michael D.
For whatever reason our R1Soft server decided not to perform backups for the last 2 days and the system didn't alert us to this. In our routine checking to make sure everything was performing as we should we identified the issue and restarted the R1Soft backup server service. The system began immediately taking a fresh backup of all servers simultaneously, and while this is less than ideal, it's better than stopping the process. When the system starts a backup on it's own, it only copies *changed* data, where as when we stop a backup in progress it then takes a whole fresh backup of the entire server bit by bit. Basically we can let it run now (for a couple of hours) or we can stop it and let it run for 16+ hours when we start it manually. Due to this being an off-peak time (Sunday) we decided to allow the backups to proceed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, however, backups are of paramount importance. Let us know if you have any questions/comments/concerns.
