Trillian
I was with another host and had a domain name with them. I followed the video on here to turn off domain protect for that host. Does anyone know where I can find info. to complete the domain transfer to MDDHosting? It may be I can do point the domain name servers to MDDHosting once the account is registered. But I can't seem to find the info. on how to do that. Any help appreciated. Thanks Trillian
Scott
If you want to transfer the domain registration to MDDHosting (which is NOT required to use the domain with our hosting), you can start the process here: https://www.mddhosting.com/support/cart.php?a=add&domain=transfer If you just want to set the nameservers and leave the domain with its current registrar, you will need to contact the current registrar regarding how to configure everything, but the current nameservers are listed here:http://www.mddhosting.com/support/knowledgebase/113/What-nameservers-should-I-use.html
Trillian
Thank you, I chose the second option. It's about two days later and when I try the domain name in my browser I get: 403 Forbidden Access to this resource on the server is denied!Powered By LiteSpeed Web ServerLiteSpeed Technologies is not responsible for administration and contents of this web site! Any suggestions? I already FTPed a site to the account on MDDHosting.
Scott
403 is usually caused by lack of an index or miscofigured .htaccess. If you need help, open a support ticket so we can look into what is happening specifically.
