Michael D.
Hello, We have to perform a reboot on the distribution switch that handles the public networking inside of our cabinet tonight. The reboot should take no longer than 2 to 3 minutes. All servers will remain powered online and operational, they will simply lose connectivity for a couple of minutes. If you have any questions at all, let us know.
008Rohit
Not a problem at all... I'll probably be sleeping at that time.
frankacter
Thanks for the heads up. Can you provide an estimate of the time the reboot will be happening so we can plan accordingly. Thanks!
Michael D.
Thanks for the heads up. Can you provide an estimate of the time the reboot will be happening so we can plan accordingly. Thanks! The estimate was provided, between 10 and 11pm . Unfortunately the tech that was scheduled to do it didn't get to it within this window, and handled it at 1:57 AM. I would have updated this thread but didn't see the notice from the tech until right after the switch came back up. The switch was offline for approximately 60 seconds or so, it doesn't take long for a switch to reboot. Keep in mind all servers remained powered on, no actual servers were rebooted. I'm going to mark this as completed, as it's already done.
