Charles
Can anyone recommend a good and updated download manager? In the past I was using Olate Download Manager but it hasn't been updated in years. Olate Download Manager Link I would like something that is similar to this if possible. Thanks,
Scott
I've used FileZilla for years. It works on multiple platforms (Win, Mac, Linux), is free/open source, and supports FTP, SFTP, FTPES, etc. Check it out at http://filezilla-project.org/ Edit: It appears I totally misunderstood the question. fshagan
I haven't seen a really good solution for an integrated downloads area for websites, with the possible exception of those built into forum systems like IP.Board and vBulletin. I do a lot of Wordpress sites, and the download manager plugins I have tried are usually found lacking. I have not tried any of the commercial plug ins for Wordpress. jonsborn
You can try with RAPID SHARE DOWNLOAD MANAGER. Its a freeware and its easy to use. This works by splitting the file into locations with any allotment downloaded at the same time from assorted or mirrored resources. Also, You can create your download list easily, just copy and pestle the link into the down-loader.
fshagan
The OP is looking for software he can install on his website that will create a download area. The link he provided says this: Olate Download (OD) allows you to add a downloads area to your website and control every aspect of it through an admin control panel.
