Michael D.
We have been having some intermittent issues with the Fresco server which we believe to be related to the system memory (RAM). Due to the potential for damage we're scheduling an emergency maintenance window to replace the RAM (and also, upgrading the ram in the process) within the hour. The estimated downtime for this process is only 5 to 10 minutes and we do apologize for the short notice. We do believe that this short maintenance window will improve the stability of the server and help to make sure that your data does not become damaged. If you have any questions at all, let us know. Michael D.
To clarify, the RAM swap+upgrade should take 5 to 10 minutes, and the server will take 5 minutes or so to come back online and become operational.

Michael D.
I do believe it has formally been scheduled for 2:15 PM EDT (in approximately 23 minutes).
Michael D.
5 Minutes until the server is going to be shut down for the upgrade.
Michael D.
The server was taken offline about 3 minutes ago.
Michael D.
Our internal monitoring just reported the server as being back online, we estimate about 5 minutes until it's actively serving requests again.
Michael D.
The server is only reporting 20 instead of 24 GB of ram, so we're taking it back offline again to double check the ram and re-seat the ram. This would mean an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
Michael D.
The server came back up showing the full 24 GB this time around, looks like the ram wasn't seated well enough the first time around. We're going to mark this as completed.
Michael D.
I'm happy to report that the ram change/upgrade has resulted in the improvements we expected! http://www.screen-shot.net/2011-10-23_0032.png
