Sent SPAM question for pre-sales

Recommended Posts

Hello,

We're considering MDDhosting for our small business. Our current host has been unable/unwilling to deal with the fact that somehow spam is being sent from our account somehow. I receive emails from myself trying to sell me viagra for example. It looks like it came from me! What measures are in place at MDDhosting to prevent something similar from happening?

Thank you,

Tyler

Open a sales ticket and provide a copy of the headers of these emails as well as what information you can from your old provider and we'll look the headers over and see what we can advise. I can't make any promises but we'll give it a shot.

Hi Mike,

I'm not asking for free advice about this issue with my current hosting company. I'm just wondering if we host with you, do you have preventative measures in place to stop this kind of thing?

Also, I called your pre-sales, sales and support phone lines on Thursday and left a message stating that I was considering hosting with ya'll but had a few questions. No one has called me back yet. Maybe this is the best place to communicate with MDD?

I know yours is a smallish operation, when compared with host gator or Aplus.net, and that's what we'd prefer, but I also want to know that my company can expect a reasonable response time if we have serious issues.

Can you speak to this a bit? You can email me directly if you'd prefer: <redacted for privacy>

Thank you,

Tyler

It really depends on how/why it's being sent. This is why I asked for some details in a support ticket so I could better advise you. Essentially what you're saying is "My car has a problem, can you fix it?" without letting me listen to it run or trying to figure out the issue. I can tell you that we'll look into it if you do transfer to us, and I'd like to look into it before you do so, so that you don't start out sending spam from our servers after signing up.

Here or a ticket tends to be the absolute best, for right now I'm the only one handling the phone system as the person I generally had handling it has left MDD to go in another direction. I'm working on getting somebody new that knows what they're talking about to handle the phones but I've not had any luck finding somebody I trust that is competent enough for that just yet.

If you want, open a ticket with the sales department and we can schedule a call if you wish to discuss it over the phone as that's the best way, at this point, to discuss sales over the phone. There are simply too many incoming sales calls right now for me to be able to handle them all but I'm trying! :)

Indeed, our support staff is entirely different from sales and is available 24/7/365 via support ticket with an average response time of around 15 minutes last time I checked.

It's best if you open a sales ticket via Contact Us in the top menu of our site :)
