Posted March 27, 2011 Report Share Posted March 27, 2011 It's quite unusual that R1Soft would create a full scan of the server for a simple system upgrade however it seems that is exactly what the R1Soft backup system is doing. The backup system is set to the lowest priority as to cause the least amount of performance degradation however we can't say that you won't experience any intermittent slowness this morning. Fresco appears to have around 4 hours left on the backup, Cypress has approximately 7 hours remaining, and Echo just finished moments ago. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may cause and we hope that it has a minimal impact for you on this Sunday morning. The backup processes in the future should be their normal durations of around 30 to 60 minutes and and usual are performed in the very early AM when the servers are the least busy.
