Michael D.
Hello, For the longest time we've always left auto-suspension for bandwidth overages off however within the past several months we've had several cases where customers used far more than their plan allowed and they simply shifted providers and left us with unpaid overages. Due to this we're enabling bandwidth overage notifications that will warn you when you reach 90%, 95%, and 98% of your bandwidth allocations and once you reach 100% the account will be automatically suspended. The warning emails will be sent to the email address that is on file in your cPanel account under "Contact Information" so you should make sure that this email address is up to date and accurate. If your account is automatically suspended for bandwidth overages all you have to do is get in contact with us and let us know if you wish to buy an additional block of bandwidth or if you wish to upgrade your plan to cover the costs. If you have any questions at all, feel free to respond to this thread or to open a support ticket.
Michael D.
In speaking with some clients directly I just wanted to post some clarifications on this change. A majority of our clients, this policy will not affect as you are well under your bandwidth limits. The issue is with those who sign up, and then use WELL over their bandwidth limits, and then disappear. Our policy is still the same as it has always been if you're going to go over in that we will work with you.The reason for the auto-suspension is simply because the bandwidth system will not send out warnings if auto-suspension is off. We've had a feature request in with cPanel for a long time to change this to no avail as of yet.If you have any questions at all - do respond to this thread or open a support ticket.
