CaCaZima
Hello! I'm new to this forum and need some help. I'm totally new to SSH, never ever used it. And i'm trying to create a tunnel on our network so that i can connect to my work computer via Remote Desktop (WinXP).What i have done so far is forwarded port 54444 to the Win2003 server running Cygwin and installed OpenSSH on the Cygwin (followed this http://chinese-watercolor.com/LRP/printsrv/cygwin-ssh.html tutorial). And this seem to work. The problem appears when i connect using PuTTY, it connects fine (i checked the PuTTY log) but 1 second after connection the connection closes and PuTTY quits.Do i have to do something more on the SSH server? Right now i have just installed and started it.Do i have to add tunnels on the server as well as on puTTy?I have no idea as i have never used SSH before. Is it so that if i don't tell the server to do something spesific it will just close the connection after connection success? Thanks alot! -C
Michael D.
I don't see how this is a shared hosting issue, could you elaborate?
