Michael D.
As a part of our efforts to improve our backup system we've moved to a new file system for storing the backup files. To move to this new system we're taking fresh seed backups of all servers to ensure that the backup data is accurate and to make sure that we can quickly restore data as needed in the future. We don't expect there to be any performance impact, the process should only take a 2 to 3 hours per server.
Michael D.
All servers have completed the seed backup process with the exception of the Cypress server. We expect Cypress to finish within the next couple of hours.
Michael D.
The seed backups are completed - we transferred around 1.3 terabytes of data to the backup server. http://www.screen-shot.net/2010-09-20_2011.png
