Michael D.
As you can likely see, we have upgraded our forum software from IPB 2.3.6 to IPB 3.0.5. Due to how different the themes for the two major revisions are we are going to be redoing the MDDHosting.com Forum design over the next few days. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns by all means feel free to post them up. Thank you! bunnykins
Why did you get 3.0.3 instead of 3.0.5?

Michael D.
Good good was wondering. I like it. It looks so much nicer.I like it as well... Looks like a *lot* of work to integrate into our current design so I'm hoping to have that done in the next few days.

sremick
Whoa, this is different. Not in a bad way, but going to take some re-adjusting. <br>
Michael D.
Whoa, this is different. Not in a bad way, but going to take some re-adjusting. Yeah, I'm still trying to plan on how we'll integrate the MDDHosting.com design into the forum - I can see a vision in my head but I'm not 100% sure if it will work like I hope
bunnykins
ah I am already used to it from a user stand point as I go to sites that have been using it a while.
Michael D.
I just separated out the style CSS to separate text files and enabled some better caching so the pages as you navigate the forums should seem faster and more fluid Let me know if you notice a difference.
bunnykins
did not seem slow to begin with so not really seeing a difference. I mean it was fast before and still fast.
Michael D.
did not seem slow to begin with so not really seeing a difference. I mean it was fast before and still fast.Well previously on each page load it was sending around 160kb because all of the CSS was included *into* the HTML. Now that the CSS is all in separate files they are only downloaded once and then cached by the browser so each page load there after only loads the HTML itself for that particular page. It may not make a difference for those on high-speed connections but it would certainly make a large difference for those on dial-up or cellular connections
bunnykins
Ah good point. My cell phone's Internet speed is double the speed of dial up but still slower then my high speed Internet that my computer uses.
supernix
I must be sick in the head and can only imagine what ya'll would think about my site as I don't see a problem with this forum at all. I think it looks great just the way it is.
bunnykins
I like it too actually. I feel at home on it, works just like the other forums I go to.

Blind Bandit
I like it as well... Looks like a *lot* of work to integrate into our current design so I'm hoping to have that done in the next few days. Hmmm there is always IP content but that would require work also. I'm not sure how much. Anyway, nice work. I love IPB 3. 3.1 also looks promising.
Michael D.
Going from 3.0.5 to 3.1 should be easier than 2.3.6 to 3.0.
