Michael D.
We're bringing a new Shared and Reseller server online within the next 24 to 48 hours to accommodate our growing client base. We're going to be offering a special promotion on this server for new clients and old clients are welcome to take part in the promotion as well as long as they keep their current plan active for promotion term on their new plan. The server will be configured exactly like our Echo server:Dual Quad Core Xeon 5520 2.26 GHZ (8 Cores + Hyper-Threading)12 GB DDR3 RamRaid 10 - 4 x 300GB SAS 15K RPM Storage100 Megabit dedicated networking portWhile we could have just kept adding more accounts to our Echo server as most others providers would have we've chosen to expand to a new server so that current clients on the Echo server will still see the same high level of speed and service they always have as will all future clients placed on our new server. If you have any questions/comments/concerns by all means feel free to respond to this thread I'll be sure to post more details on any promotions once we have them finalized. Edit:The new server is accepting orders! "fresco-one-time" for 50% off one-time and "fresco-recurring" for 15% off recurring. This coupon code can be used during check out and applies only to our standard shared hosting plans at this time. http://www.mddhosting.com/hosting.php
kuemerle5
Wow! Great job Mike! Looks like your amazing customer service and awesome web hosting is really paying off! Just don't go 1and1 or GoDaddy on us.

Just don't go 1and1 or GoDaddy on us. No plans on that - we've been growing slowly but very steadily and my ultimate goal is to keep the level of service and support high as MDDHosting was founded to be a very customer-centric company. Michael D.
I would like to see you whoop HostGator down to size. They have more ads on the net then AOL has disks.A good portion of that is due to their affiliate program The new server is accepting orders! "fresco-one-time" for 50% off one-time and "fresco-recurring" for 15% off recurring. This coupon code can be used during check out and applies only to our standard shared hosting plans at this time. http://www.mddhosting.com/hosting.php Existing clients can receive this promotion as well but will need to contact the sales department to place the order -> https://www.mddhosting.com/support/submitti...=2&deptid=
cvos
To fill the new server why not have a very public contest and get affiliates going? First prize is an iPad.

First prize is an iPad.The goal isn't to "fill" the server but to at least make it cover it's own monthly cost We may run something special towards the end of the month but for the time being the current fresco promotions are what we are going to do. supernix
Okay I am not quite sure what you meant in the email about: one viable path is to simply expand to a secondary reseller account on a new MDDHosting reseller server.
Michael D.
Okay I am not quite sure what you meant in the email about:Rather than getting a bigger reseller account or moving onto a singular VPS/Dedicated you could get a secondary reseller account with us and have accounts on two servers. Nadir Novruzov
Hi. Congratulations. May I ask a question? will this affect on prices for resellers?
Michael D.
Hi. Congratulations. May I ask a question? will this affect on prices for resellers? No, we're not currently running any promotions for reseller accounts.
supernix
All that talk about multiple servers and such I figured you were going to lower the lower priced accounts to 12.50 so we could have the two accounts you talked about LOL

supernix
I could do this but it would mean dropping Hostgator completely cold turkey and putting my eggs in one basket plus getting MDDhosting to move I forgot how many domains over. Ah I forgot I would have to have LaTex for one domain for sure.

Ah I forgot I would have to have LaTex for one domain for sure. The account would be on a different server so technically it wouldn't be all eggs in one basket :-) The basic reseller is limited to 25 accounts but intermediate is 50. Is there a reason you can't run latex with us? I've installed it and toyed with it and faced no major issues.
supernix
What account type was the link you posted it just goes to a shopping cart with no information about what your signing up for. You could run LaTex with anyone but most servers or PC for that matter have it. The LaTex is a special program for typesetting for Mathematical or professional Typesetting. supernix
Okay I was wondering and input the same domain name as the first account so not sure how that will affect anything. What should one do for the domain that it requests?
Michael D.
Enter a subdomain of your primary domain like server2.yourdomain.com.
supernix
Does it have LaTex ?

supernix
Actually it is a binary and this link will show pretty much what it is used for: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Mathematics I run a Moodle site at http://www.bestged.info/ and while the site is pretty much dormant due to my personal studies at college in computer science it is my intentions to erect a full fledge complete site to help people tackle the GED and other educational endeavors.
