Michael D.
We have for a long time relied on our Xeon 3220 Quad Core (4 cores) 4GB Ram 4x250gb SATA2 servers to host our clients and they have done a fantastic job. We are going to be upgrading Atlantis to a Dual Quad Core (8 cores + HT) 5520 12GB Ram 4x300gb SAS 15k server and then seeing how much capacity this server has for us to bring over some from Boreas to lighten it's load as well. The new server is an absolute monster as far as specifications and performance and I am sure that everybody on Atlantis will notice a boost in performance. We're very good at transferring accounts from one server to another so realistically you shouldn't notice any downtime or issues. If you do have any issues feel free to open a support ticket. We will be conducting the transfers over the next few days and contacting customers on a one-on-one basis as needed for those who are not using our DNS servers. In the end we should be able to port over all of our IP addresses from the old server(s) to the new so you shouldn't *have* to update your DNS but we will still contact you just in case. If you have any questions at all, feel free to respond to this thread.
