Michael D.
Hello! We are scheduling a maintenance window for the S3 server on Sunday, September 17th at 10 PM ET [GMT-4] to move the server to our new storage platform. We are scheduling this window from 10 PM ET to 2 AM ET and we expect the downtime related to this maintenance to be 2 to 3 hours at most.We will be keeping this thread here on our forums up-to-date as we perform the migration and will answer any and all questions you may have about the migration process here or directly in response to the email I will be sending out shortly to all affected clients. While we do apologize for the length of this maintenance window we are sure that you will be happy with the end result. We have had numerous clients reach out to us after we migrated the R3 server last week to thank us for the upgrade and even a few that only knew it happened because everything was dramatically faster.Should you wish to see more details on why we're performing these migrations as well as some graphs illustrating the performance gains - they can be seen here. Michael D.
The total downtime for this was about ~32 minutes. We've made some changes to the migration process that have drastically sped this up. If you experience any issues do please reach out to us.
