jscher2000
I currently have SSL configured on my primary domain with a Comodo cert that is due to expire soon. I was hoping to try out Let's Encrypt before expiration to see whether it is a viable option for me.I was able to create certs for a couple secondary domains, but when I try with the primary domain I get error messages similar to: The Let's Encrypt HTTP challenge failed: acme error 'urn:acme:error:connection': DNS problem: networking error looking up A for jeffersonscher.com Is the problem that there already is SSL on this domain? Do I need to disable or remove it before I can set up Let's Encrypt?Note: DNS for all tested domains is still on 1&1.
Michael D.
The Let's Encrypt CA has to load a temporary file from your account in order to verify ownership and issue the certificate. If they're having any issues on their end it could prevent that - I'd suggest trying it again shortly and if it still doesn't work - opening a ticket.
