Spamassassin did not create Spam folders for user accounts: do *I* need to?

I activated Spamassassin. I also opted to create a Spam folder. A Spam folder was created at the Account level (as visible in Webmail). I also have two user accounts. Email directed to me from anywhere in the known world arrives for one of these two user accounts. Does Spamassassin need Spam folders in the user accounts? (Heck, does Spamassassin even care whether user accounts get spam?)

You probably figured this out already, based on later questions, but for those reading this looking for an answer, I'm pretty sure I didn't create spam folders when setting up SpamAssassin. I believe they were created when the first piece of spam came in to the account.
