I'm thinking of going from IMAP to POP access for email. I've been using server name "sr1.supportedns.com (with appropriate logon/password). Will this suffice for POP access, so long as the email client specifies POP access? Or do I need to get hardcore and specify a different server name for email? (And do I need to fiddle with SMTP as well?)

No need to get hardcore and specify a different server name for email.
The server name which you are using will be sufficient for POP.
