Michael D.
It seems that on Atlantis our system that helps protect our user accounts by detecting brute-force dictionary password attacks on accounts decided to try and send out around 70,000 notification emails to our server administration team which consequently brought the server load and RAM usage quite high in a hurry. Our administration team quickly resolved the issue and sites may have loaded a bit slowly over about a 5 minute period while we cleared the email queue of the outgoing notifications. We do apologize if this temporary slow down affected you and as always we worked quickly and efficiently to return service to normal. We are working with our software vendor to discover why this issue occurred and to prevent it from happening again in the future. Thank you!
