Hello Mike,

I believe your Basic Plan for Shared Hosting is what I need (at first).

Can you price individually and acknowledge I'm on the right track here?

Basic Plan for a year.

Register one new domain as main account

Register a second domain name

Transfer a domain name from godaddy.com

Transfer a domain name from ipower.com

Will I have to pay godaddy or ipower anything?

I plan to pay by Visa from my UK address - is that OK? (Details later in PM, of course)

Thank you for your kind attention.

Cheers

Simon

Hello Mike,
Hi :)

I believe your Basic Plan for Shared Hosting is what I need (at first).
Ok, you can always upgrade as the need arises.

Can you price individually and acknowledge I'm on the right track here?
Sure.

Basic Plan for a year.
$76.50 which is an automatic 15% off.

Register one new domain as main account
For a new registration it's $14.95
Register a second domain name
$14.95.
Transfer a domain name from godaddy.com
$14.95
Transfer a domain name from ipower.com
$14.95.

Now it should be noted that if you want to leave your domains where they are (GoDaddy and iPower) as long as you have the ability to update the nameservers to point to our servers you won't have to pay to transfer them and I would wait until about a month or two before they expire to actually transfer them. Transferring a domain will automatically renew it for a year and can only be done after the domain has been registered 60 days.

You are welcome to order domains through us and transfer to us but I generally advise (as it's purely good practice, and cheaper usually) to register your domains through a registrar such as GoDaddy, Enom, NameCheap, etc... and then point the nameservers to your hosting provider.

Will I have to pay godaddy or ipower anything?
You shouldn't have to, no.

I plan to pay by Visa from my UK address - is that OK? (Details later in PM, of course)
If the order isn't placed within proximity of the address listed for the card we would need to perform additional verification on your order but as long as you really are who you say you are and you have a physical credit card I don't see a problem.

Thank you for your kind attention.
No problem :)

Hi again,

Thanks for your swift, informative response.

If I understand correctly, I do not need to register any domains with you.

After I buy hosting space from you, I will be able to update the nameservers, of e.g. godaddy, to point to your servers according to the information you give me.

EXTRA cPanel - domain QUESTION

Am I right in thinking that there will be one cPanel login for all (sub)domains. I cannot login and see info of one (sub)domain only.

Although I'm not in UK now, my visacard is billed to my family home in UK and I shall be happy to provide any supporting documents you may require.

Thanks for your help. Looking forward to coming on board.

Cheers

Simon

I do believe most of your questions were answered in the support ticket :)

I can understand why you would answer such questions posed in a support ticket. But, if such questions are posted in the forums, here, if you only answer them via a support ticket, then doesn't that defeat the purpose that you originally set for this thread, Mike?

I refer you to the below quote:

We created this forum section so that others can see what questions have been asked and can search the pre-sales questions. This section will also help us to improve our knowledge base.

I refer you to the below quote:

While I understand what you're saying - there's not much point to do double the work or to answer the same question for the same person in two different places. If you were to put in a support ticket and ask the same question on the forum you would be welcome to update the thread on the forum with the answer from the support ticket.

You are also always welcome to (at your discretion) post any content of any sales ticket you may have with us here on the forum should you decide to do so but we're not going to do that for you should you ask in both places :)

One could always update their thread by posting "Here is what I asked" and "Here is what they said" should they want to update their thread on the forum.

Why reinvent the wheel? :)
