Currently I have my organization website at a different host.  I have been working on redoing the website with Wordpress using the Desktop Server and want to use your servers to host the Wordpress site.

I don't want to go live immediately when I move WP to your servers.  Do I need to purchase a new domain for testing?  If so, will I be able to change the testing domain site to our currently owned site domain when I am ready to dump the older version of our website?

I am surprised I haven't received a reply to this topic yet.  Please let me know if my question or wording need some work.

Sorry about that. You could make it on a subdomain? Then copy the files over?

Thanks for your reply linkiepoo!  I realized that I do have a domain from a business I had closed a few years ago.  Once I understood what subdomain was, I realized that I can use it without any confusion from old customers. I can move the Wordpress site into subdomain, test it and when ready - use the domain I want!  I am learning as I go along - never used a subdomain before!
