Blind Bandit
Is everybody ready for the Conficker or DownAdUP worm? Or are you even concerned? No not really worried. i'm updating everything on my computer and I will probably be extra careful with email. I would argue as long as your not careless you'll be ok. Michael D.
Not really, I run Symantec Corporate virus scanner on top of not installing things that I don't need or don't know/trust. I also have a pretty good feel for what should or should not be running due to my background in programming

I also have a pretty good feel for what should or should not be running due to my background in programming Having had used and admined SAV Corp Ed for many years (7 just the last time) at multiple corporations I have to say that I'm not impressed with its detection rate. In fact, a number of years ago one infection that got through that SAV didn't catch I had to end up writing my own utility to detect and remove it. Took Symantec a few days to get on the ball with that one. Hopefully you're scanning with other tools too besides SAV.

Simply not installing things I don't need or I don't trust goes a long way on top of being behind a firewall and locking down anything I don't actually need to use.
