Just a note in response to "newbie" ... I, too, want to see MDDHosting grow and prosper. I've used their services many years and referred many people. But a couple of things: 1. This is 2018, not the mid-2000s when those generalized and generic terms were drafted. 2. This series of devastating technical errors is more akin to what happened a decade ago. This is 2018. 3. This is not so much about tech stuff, this is about company reputation ... how a person operates their business in 2018. Perception about a company's reputation is paramount, and Michael's lengthy emails, now reposted on industry websites, won't help MDDHosting's reputation. When I read them, I thought, "oh, no! Just say the service is down and it will be fixed." 4. Just this week, MDDHosting has disappeared from some rating services as a "top" site host. 5. Why not use your name?

Did not notice any issues on R3 but StorPool raises a question -- the company is located in Sofia. Does that mean you are hosting from Bulgaria? Or are you still using Handy in Denver?

There are no doubt merits to SSL or secured server configuration. A friend recently shared this article from the Electronic Frontier Foundation on the rush in government to embrace encrypted hosting -- https://www.eff.org/...es-switch-https. While I encourage everyone to read the article, let me underscore a major factor ... secured server is only as good as strong passwords. To this day, weak passwords continue to be the weak link to online security. I am part of the Cyber Attack and Internet of Things Task Force in Washington, and what I've heard over and over by the pioneers and leaders in the digital world is that security is all about strong passwords. In that role, I have had the pleasure of hearing Vint Cerf, father of the Internet, talk about digital security. He's all about passwords, passwords, passwords. Encryption and secured servers mean nothing without strong passwords, he says. And, he's right!

Hi all, Just curious if Icarus is back to normal and the issues resolved. All of my sites on Icarus seem to be operating perfectly. I notice that in the Pingdom report provided on this forum, Icarus is the only server that's grayed out with a "?" in the center of the gray. Thanks, David

Having hosted sites for 14 years, I have known of no other hosting company that responds so quickly to address and resolve issues and to provide trusted, reliable service.
