  1. Thank you for the detailed description and option to shift to gemini. From my end the average ping on fresco comes to around 360-450ms while that on gemini comes to between 350-420. So I dont see much of a difference from my end. But most of my clients / users accessing the site are from US so if I see the pingdom pings there is a drastic difference. I think I will wait and watch before taking a call.
  2. Hi, After the DDoS its been around 24 hours, yet the ping times seem to be a lot compared to before. Earlier it was in the range of around 400-500ms but post the downtime it has risen to around 700ms http://www.pingdom.com/reports/hgs5b5n9hkb1/check_overview/?name=Fresco Any reason why? Also is there any reason why Fresco has much higher ping time compared to other servers of MDD?
  3. Just so that all know... if you see @pingdom status - its down as well for the last couple of hours... a web monitoring site down! hence, you can show your clients that even "bigger" sites can go down.
  4. Hi Mike, I believe thats not what techshots meant from what I understand. If you read carefully, its simply mentioned that some resellers may have lost clients due to the downtime. He did not mean to say he is leaving MDD. We all undertand MDD has done an outstanding job over the past 24 hours and that really separates MDD from other web hosting companies. Keep up the good work
  5. As always amazing support. In my distant memory, I can hardly think of any other company providing such "bullet-proof" support. Glad to see all sites up and running as they were before the problem Take some rest.
  6. I too agree with this point. I had also mentioned this in one of my support tickets as to why there is a huge variation in terms of ping speeds between all other servers and Fresco because fresco seems to take almost 2-5 times more compared to other servers of MDD.
  7. Good that I have my emails on another server, so atleast I can communicate. I dont blame MDD because this could happen with any other server / provider. The good point is that MDD is communicating on a continuous basis which helps a bit. The bad part is customers down line dont understand such things. With sites down for over 24 hours, its hard to explain why such a thing occurs. Also hope and wish all sites are restored successfully. Wishing its sorted out at the earliest.
