  1. Thanks Scott. I'm a happy customer and from my experience, MDDHosting shared is already faster than any other shared hosting I've tried. Here's my review back in Feb 2012: http://forums.mddhosting.com/topic/689-honest-review-almost-one-year/ I really want to try semi-dedicated to see if my heavy websites improve but I don't want to do it if it's too complicated or if it messes up my site.
  2. I have Cloudflare enabled from Cpanel. If I isntall this plugin, what are the best optimal settings to work with Cpanel cloudflare?
  3. Is it possible to move my hosting to a semi-dedicated plan for 2-3 days? I want to see the difference before I make the switch over. Thanks.
  4. I currently run a wordpress site with many plugins - thus it's slow loading sometimes. I average about 6000ms in loading time using the basic shared hosting. If I upgrade to semi-dedicated, should I expect a noticeable increase in load speed? Thanks.
  5. My experience with MDDHosting has been great. The only incident I had with MDDHosting was when my server failed and I lost several hours of work that was not recovered. MDDHosting gave me a month credit. Other than that, the support is frightfully fast. I usually get a response in 1 to 5 minutes. The speed is great. The system is easy to use. a I've used some cheap $10/year "unliminted" hosting before but they don't compare in terms of support, speed, reliability. I also used Godaddy which made it difficult to do any advanced settings on. CPanel is the way to go. If you are looking for a host, don't go for the big companies like Godaddy or Hostgator. They don't have the support like this. Stick to MDDHosting. The only regret I have is that I didn't buy 3 years with the 50% off deal.
  6. In my CPanel, I see that I only have 5.2.17 installed. Will this be a problem when I upgrade to Wordpress 3.2?
  7. Don't know if you guys have seen this story yet: http://www.dailytech.com/Hackers+Kill+4800+Australian+Sites+Thanks+to+Brutal+Attack+on+Web+Host/article21968.htm Basically, an Australian web host gets hacked and over 4800 websites along with their backups were deleted. The web host could not recover the backup and 4800 websites just vanished. Most of their customers did not do personal backups. I feel so bad for the people that lost their websites. They couldn't even get their domain registrar server up to allow people to transfer their domains out of there. Truly a tragic event. I think it's the web host's responsibility to keep our data safe. I mean web hosts advertise how great their backup systems are. If they really aren't that good, they need to explicitly tell people to do backups themselves frequently. It's also a hassle for people that have large websites to do manual backups so many don't.
  8. Assuming that you run at 50% capacity for each hosting. Assuming that VPS does not use Litespeed. Which would be faster? Semi Dedicated or VPS?
  9. While it's good that you were able to recover files from last night. Many customers, including myself, lost several hours of work which is quite depressing. The up time for May is now down to 99.45% which is below your guaranteed 99.9%. I believe you should compensate those who are effected.
  10. Does that mean that we might lose our data from last night till now?
  11. Edit sorry, this is my site: Bay Area Dogs
