    It's possible to block a whole range by using the first three octets such as this:
    255.255.255.

    But listing more than 50-100 individual IPs makes the file very long and the server has to process it on each reload (which adds overhead).

    I'm sure you can probably find somebody who will help you block it, probably for far less than $1000.

    I don't really see the point of the new laws myself, the government an corporations already have the power to take offending sites offline. Look at sites like megaupload.com for example - SOPA/PIPA do not exist right now, yet they took a site hosted on foreign soil offline.

    If you dont mind, May I ask which sites/companies offers paid DDoS attacks? Google failed to get me to one of those. Can a simple DoS attack be performed with a PC via LAN? I'd try my broadband provider's main server then, just for learning purpose. :P

    I am glad you only have the positive repping here, that will help a lot.
    I am still very happy that my site is fast, has not slowed down, in speed. That actually goes for any of my sites. I am down to just 3 though, my main site, otaku data and my blog.

    Thank you for the rep. I love that system. They improved it a little more in 3.1, added the ability to see who reped you. They do have it turned off on the ips forum though as it can easily lead to fights.
