Hi,

Just wondering whether this would be allowed under a shared hosting plan? The link is below describing the feature.

http://www.phpbb.com...?f=70&t=1567645

It's basically just a forum chat. I had it installed on my forum through siteground but they suspended my account after a few days as apparently it was using too many resources. The chat feature was set to refresh every 5 seconds. That can be changed up to 60 but I had it at 5.

Is it possible that it's allowed here or would I have the same issue?

Thanks

A shoutbox/chat is not allowed - it is definitely very resource intensive and while it may not seem like it, I promise you that it is.

Under a shared plan only or just not allowed at all?

On shared it's definitely not allowed at all. In Semi-Dedicated you might be able to host one but chances are it will cause issues and we'd contact you asking you to remove it. On a VPS or Dedicated it would be 100% up to you.
