Our internal monitoring alerted us to an issue at 2:43 AM EST (GMT-5) with the Cypress server. Upon investigating it appears one of our clients was under a decently sized DDoS attack which caused the server load to increase quite a bit. The script that was under attack was very resource intensive and as such the thousands of requests per second to that script were causing server-wide issues.

Notified the affected account holder and disabled the script to prevent the attack from causing any further damages. Attackers generally don't like seeing their attempts go in vein so there is a good possibility that other types of attacks will be launched in the coming hours however we will do our best, as always, to mitigate these attacks and keep all services online.

The server was having intermittent connectivity issues for approximately 11 minutes before we were able to resolve this issue.

As expected, the attacker is continuing to hit the server off and on causing things to be sluggish. We've been working to mitigate the attacks however at this point we've not had a tremendous amount of luck with this specific attack.

We're still working to fully mitigate the attack at this point, we apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing. Ultimately the server has stayed online, although it has been sluggish.
