Rebooted your VPS and it won't come back online?

We recently had an issue where a client issued a reboot to their VPS from inside of their WHM control panel on the server and the server shut down and never started back up. This is standard fare when it comes to an OpenVZ/Virtuozzo VPS simply due to the way the containers are handled by the node itself.
