Michael D.
When it rains, it pours. The Echo server has come under DDoS attack this morning and in the process of mitigating the attack the Operating System [kernel] has had some issues that forced a reboot. Upon reboot the system detected some file system errors and is forcing a file system check. We'll update this thread with progress.
Michael D.
The file system check [FSCK] is 80% completed so far - it's possible it will need a second pass though.

Michael D.
The server is online but it will take a few minutes for the caches to rebuild and things to stabilize/get fast.
